My Last Day

It's hard to believe that I fly out this evening. Time has passed so fast... and slow all at the same time.

Being able to live and work here for the past 6 months has definitely been an incredible experience. Can't wait to get home and see my family and friends but I will miss certain things about Kenya.

Thank you all for your prayers and support during my time here!

December Birthday Party

On Thursday we celebrated Lizzy and David's birthdays. It was so neat to watch Lizzy because she understood that this cake was hers! She will turn five on December 15th and David will turn two on December 13th.

All the little guys got haircuts last week :)

William was terrified! Joseph wasn't all too thrilled either. Sam, Kennedy and David were definitely the best troopers!

Welcome Baby Charles

We have a new two week old baby boy! He was discovered abandoned in a local plantation silo. Isn't he beautiful?!

One of Angie's friends gave her this tilapia the other day... she nicely shared with all of us at the baby house and we enjoyed a delicious lunch :)

HOH - Christine

Christine is the cook for the baby house and for the Cherished Handworks ladies. She started working for us in July and has been a great asset!

Birthdate: May 5, 1975
Place of birth: Kakamega
Family: Two brothers and six sisters

Christine is currently separated from her husband and has two little girls. Darline who is twelve years old and Lorrane who is eight.

Favorite food: Ugali
Favorite color: Purple

Her favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29: 11 - 13.

Also, her dad taught her how to cook when she was eight years old... her brothers both became sick and were in the hospital so her mom had to stay with them. Since she was the next oldest, the cooking responsibilities fell on her.

Random fact: Love to sing!
