Busy Busy Busy

Last week we got a new baby! His name is Kennedy Maina and he is 11 months old. His mother is sick and is no longer able to care for him. He has had some difficulty adjusting but is now eating and sleeping well.

Last week we also had a great visit from a mission team from Houston's First Baptist Church. They had the opportunity to spend time with the boys, play with the babies and meet the ladies from Cherished Handworks. It was great having them here! They were such a blessing!

Other things:

• Maina got two boils in his finger... he has been to the doctor several times but is now doing well :)
• We purchased a new washing machine yesterday. The other one had been broken for close to two months. The aunties were so grateful that they no longer have to do all of the wash by hand! It was interesting explaining to them how to use the new machine... and then realizing today that they hadn't understood at all and having to do the whole process again... but that's just how things are here... repetition repetition repetition... (FYI: the circle is now my least favorite shape... refer down to the fence story for an additional illustration and, trust me, there are other stories too haha).
• This is the last week of school for the boys until September - it's going to be neat having them around for a month!

Oh and look how much Winnie and Annabelle have grown!
